    During the plenary session of political leaders of the I Latin American Progress Conference organized by the IDEAS Foundation,  Zapatero affirmed that globalization “is already our play ground and we must work to make it multipolar and not unipolar, which China, India the USA, Europe and Latin America playing the role of regional leaders.”

    The former Spanish Prime Minister, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, today urged Latin American countries to take advantage of the coming decade of “very positive” economic prospects to consolidate their institutions, increase the tax system, maintain programs against social exclusion and redefine their regional integration agenda, because “it is an issue pending to be achieved.” 

    The former Prime Minister predicts that in 15 years, China will overtake the USA as the first power and no European country will be part f the G-20 in 2050 if the EU does not advance Howard a political, fiscal and economic union
